Kongens Bastion

Bastionen fremstår som den blev formet ved genopbygningen efter svenskernes storm og ødelæggelse i 1657. Den er således næsten uberørt af ombygninger i 1710 og 1861-1864 samt istandsættelsen i 1849. Bastionen er dermed et fint eksempel på, hvordan et forsvarsanlæg skulle se ud i 1600-tallet.

BASTION DES KÖNIGS

Nach dem Ansturm und der Zerstörung durch die Schweden 1657 wurde die Bastion neu erbaut und seitdem nicht verändert. Sie wurde also von Umbauten 1710 und 1861-1864 sowie einer Instandsetzung 1849 so gut wie nicht berührt. Somit ist die Bastion ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie eine Verteidigungsanlage im 17. Jahrhundert aussehen musste.

THE KING'S BASTION

The bastion appears in the state it was in after the reconstruction following the Swedish assault and destruction in 1657. Thus, it is almost untouched by the reconstructions of 1710 and 1861-1864 as well as the renovation in 1849. This makes the bastion a fine example of a fortification from the 1600s.
